Hussein Chalayan S/S 1998; ‘Between’ - one of Chalayan’s most controversial shows to date ended with five women dresses in ‘chadors’ with varying hemlines, leaving one woman completely exposed. The collection was based around the concept of disembodiment and the general lack of identity that women had in traditional Muslim society.
